COGNE Set among the mountains of the Cogne Valley, men and machineries perform their hard stone’s extraction job, true richness of our company. This material, due to his intrinsic characteristics, has shown can be used for a wide range of different applications. During the process of extraction nothing is wasted: after having been divided depending on the characteristics and dimensions, all the raw material is transported to our laboratory. Here the manufacturing takes place: the middle dimensions pieces are manually cut in order to obtain “work in progress” materials for covering applications, cubes, stone slabs etc. Bigger blocks on the contrary are sent to the sawmill where our machineries cut the stone with a high level of precision, in order to obtain stone slabs or products with the demanded design and thickness. |

MORGEX At the end of 2007, the consciousness of the goodness of our know-how, build up in many years of hard work, drove us to engage in a new challenge. We have decided to restart the activity of the extraction in a quarry, which was closed because of some vicissitudes of the old owners, although even in the past it was well known for his refine output. This quarry allows us to extract a very precious and rare material with beyond compare characteristics, the stone of Morgex, from which it’s possible to obtain stone for masonry, mosaics (paving stones) and roofing slates with undisputed quality and irresistible charm.
